Stuart Craig

Stuart Craig was the Art Director Of all the Harry Potter films. With the incredible talent of the writing of J.K. Rowling, to bring them to life in a manor befitting such writing would take another incredibly talented person. This person is Stuart Craig. Under his Art direction, the movies were completed in an outstanding, and for the most part, believable fashion. The sets were all done so well and with such attention to detail. It makes these movies so far ahead of the usual movie fare. What an amazing gift.
This frame is made of flat, angle, and square, mild steel stock, all rough welded together. I’ve burned all the outer edges with a torch for another effect. I’ve added a few shop signs from Diagon Alley, a tag from a “Nimbus Two Thousand” broom stick, and at the bottom is an HO Scale Bachmann #5972 Hogwarts Castle 4-6-0 Steam Locomotive, on a section of track.

J.K. Rowling

Considering the number of humans on this planet, true genius is actually very rare. And literary genius is even harder to come by. J.K. Rowling is one of those “very rare” people to own this title. To have that much thought in her mind, and the ability to bring it all out in print, truly is Genius. Her “Harry Potter” series has sold millions of copies, and the books and films are enjoyed by those same millions of people all over the world.
I used mild steel angle, square bar, and flat stock for this frame. It’s all been hand cut, drilled, welded and ground by hand. The Hogwarts emblem, small figures, wands, and Hogwarts Castle, were all bought at retail stores. All these pieces put together created quite a heavy frame. And, although it took many hours to make, I’m very pleased with how it turned out.

Peter Jackson

Peter Jackson is the film maker and producer of The Lord of The Rings, and The Hobbit movies. I think anyone that can devote 18 years of his life to bring a few books to the movie screen is quite an unusual and outstanding human being. He actually made a few “Cameo” appearances in those movies, where he was affectionately known as “Carrot Man” for the carrot he would take a bite out of when looking at the camera. I found a fake, life sized carrot, which I added to the frames bottom. I thought it would be just the right thing to acknowledge his Oscar winning performance!
I’ve used flat, mild steel, and square steel bar for this frame. A bit of rough welding around the edges, and small tacks around it gave me what I was looking for. Didn’t want to make this one too exotic. I actually hung this one below Mr. J.R.R.Tolkien to show respect.
